The center is in charge of the Taiwan Biodiversity Information Facility (TaiBIF) which is part of GBIF and a sequencing core with multiple platforms of second and third generation high throughput sequencers.

Academia Sinica is well equipped with the latest research facilities across the life and physical science disciplines and inter-disciplinary collaborations are strongly encouraged.
