研究方向

  • 1.珊瑚的生殖行為與入添過程
    生殖行為與入添過程發生在珊瑚生命週期的初期。此過程能決定珊瑚的個體數量,而且是了解珊瑚群聚動態的關鍵,但是因為進行水下調查具有一定的困難度,所以目前了解的並不多。現今珊瑚群聚因為受到全球氣候變遷的影響正逐漸的減少,本研究室主要專注於珊瑚的生殖行為與入添過程,因為對於此時期的了解不僅能夠提升未來對於珊瑚動態的預測,也能夠提供更好的保護與管理措施。
  • 2.黑皮海綿族群動態
    星野黑皮海棉為一種黑色平鋪形海綿,因其生長在珊瑚表面並導致珊瑚死亡而受到重視。黑皮海綿廣泛的分布於太平洋海域,在多個區域都有黑皮海綿爆發並造成大量珊瑚死亡的紀錄。在台灣黑皮海綿爆發首次於2006年在綠島及蘭嶼觀察到,自此黑皮海綿維持其族群穩定存在直至今日。為了解黑皮海綿的族群動態,本研究室從2009年起觀察記錄約200株黑皮海綿個體,進行採集及分析,其中包含了配子型式、生殖周期、幼生釋放型式等實驗,以期建構完整黑皮海綿族群動態藍圖。
